Behold, the future of marketing. I heard about this deal a while ago and it looks promising already. Basically, Youtube, or Google, or someone hired Seth MacFarlane to make short silly cartoons with adverting built in.
Here’s a hilarious one with about Mario.
Got it? Great eh? Did you remember the King at the beginning? BK seems like a good match for this advertising too, personally I think the King based ads are kind of silly (and creepy) on their own.
And then you get people like me posting these videos all over their blogs. Instant win. The video already has a million views on it. Think about that? That is a million people who have seen it and watched it. That’s heavily measurable unlike say, television or radio.
Anyway, I predict this sort of thing becoming more mainstream in the coming months/years. a quick punchlin or story bit with an ad tacked on.

Advertising genius at it’s best. (This post was sponsored by McDonalds. Ba-da-dat-dat-da I’m loving it.)

I couldn’t figure out what I found objectionable about this until BigJon’s post. It’s that the concept reminds me that we’re constantly moving closer and closer to the Idiocracy society. Brought to you by Carl’s Jr.
